Longbranch News

The Branch News Media Team is a news broadcast crew made up of 5th graders who are dedicated to Longbranch and sharing the news. Crew members rotate jobs (mixer, anchor, camera person, etc.) each week to have a well-rounded experience. It is a time commitment! We meet every Monday-Friday at 7:10 AM in the Library. Crew members must make time to work on special assignments for the news or Library TV.

If you would like to be on the team, we will be taking applications in August 2023 for the 2023-2024 School year. Click here to get the application. Each applicant must create a movie to showcase your skills.

Qualities of a good broadcaster:                                        

• Can be here on time and has good attendance 
• Works well with others
• Is Motivated to work hard
• Always tries to do their best
• Likes technology
• Willing to learn new things
• Likes being part of a team and does what is best for the team
• Does their part in the classroom
• A role model of what a Longbranch student should be
