Accountability Ratings

On August 15, 2019 the Texas Education Agency (TEA) released results of the new A-F State Accountability Ratings for public schools and districts across the state.  In the new system, the state has determined it will give a district an A-F letter grade based on three domains.

  • Student Achievement
  • School Progress
  • Closing the Gaps

Student Achievement and School Progress domaines vie for 70 percent of the rating, while Closing the Gaps makes up 30 percent of the rating. For more information on the new rating system, visit TEA website: A-F Accountability Resources.

In 2019, Midlothian ISD received an overall accountability score of 89 and letter grade of B.

All districts and campuses in Texas have been labeled Not Rated: Declared State of Disaster for the 2019-2020 school year. The 2020 College, Career, and Military Readiness and Graduation Rate reports will be available in the fall with the Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR).
